404a Refrigerant Gas

 

404A Refrigerant Gas is an HFC blend that is widely used in low and medium temperature refrigeration applications, such as those used in commercial refrigeration. Whilst it has become the widely accepted alternative to CFC R502, R404A is coming under greater scrutiny due to its high Global Warming Potential, leading to an increased focus on lower GWP alternatives such as R407A, R407F, and R442A.

 

R404A Refrigerant consists of five different polymers and lubricants and has a blend of HFC which has a durable compressor lifetime and excellent lubricant stability.

That's because of its great thermodynamic and comparable physical properties.Such as its discharge temperature can fall of 9 °C (14 °F) which is less than R502. It is non-burning at an air temperature up to 100 °C (212 °F) at atmospheric pressure.

Storage:

R404A Refrigerant steel cylinders are pressurized containers, and should be kept away from fire, heat sources, and direct sunlight during storage. They are usually stored in a cool, dry, and ventilated warehouse; they should be lightly loaded and unloaded during transportation to prevent damage to steel cylinders, valves, and other accessories.
