Gas map for welding use is a mixture of various hydrocarbons, mainly propylene,propane,dimethyl ether.Gas map for welding use generates a relatively hot flame (2,976°C) and releases high heat (15,445kJ/m 3) in the main flame (inner cone), which is lower than acetylene (18,890kJm 3), but much higher than propane ( 10,433kJm) 3). Similar to propane and natural gas, the secondary flame (outer cone) also releases high heat. Compared with acetylene, the lower flame temperature, more dispersed heat source, and larger airflow together lead to a greatly reduced perforation time.
