Dry powder fire extinguishing agent consists of one or more fine inorganic powders with fire extinguishing ability. Its fire extinguishing mechanism is as follows:
1. Chemical inhibition:the combustion process is a chain reaction process. When a large amount of powder is sprayed into the flame in the form of mist, a large number of free radicals in the flame are adsorbed and converted, resulting in a sharp reduction in the number of free radicals, interrupting the combustion reaction chain, and eventually extinguishing the flame.
2. Isolating effect:the ejected solid powder covers the surface of the burning material, forming an isolation layer that hinders combustion. Especially when the powder coverage reaches a certain thickness, it can also prevent re-ignition.
3.Cooling and suffocation effects: dry chemical powder will release crystal water or decompose at high temperatures. These are endothermic reactions, and the inactive gas generated by decomposition can dilute the oxygen volume fraction in the combustion area, thereby cooling and suffocating.
