DCP Stands for Dry Chemical Powder Which is Inside the Extinguisher and is Actual Fire Suppressent.
According to the type of fire extinguishing and the occasion of use, DCP fire extinguishing agents are mainly divided into three types.
(1) ABC dry powder fire extinguishing agent, used to extinguish flammable solid, liquid and gas fires;
(2) BC dry powder fire extinguishing agent, used to extinguish flammable liquid and gas fires;
(3) Class D dry powder fire extinguishing agent, used to extinguish combustible metals Class fire.
Fire testing
ABC dry powder fire extinguishing agent can extinguish combustible solid (such as wood, etc.) fires that cannot be extinguished by BC dry powder. It has high fire extinguishing efficiency, fast speed, wide source of raw materials, non-toxic to the environment, humans and animals, does not require special power and has a wide operating temperature and mobility. It has the characteristics of good performance, long storage period, not easy to be affected by moisture and agglomeration, and good insulation, and is widely used.
ABC dry powder fire extinguishing agent mainly refers to ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguishing agent, in which monoammonium phosphate (NH4H2PO4) plays the main fire extinguishing role. After monoammonium phosphate is sprayed into the fire scene, it can form a flame retardant film on the surface of solid materials, thereby removing flammable substances and air. The oxygen is isolated to achieve the purpose of fire extinguishing. The fire extinguishing efficiency varies depending on the ammonium phosphate content in the fire extinguishing agent. Ammonium sulfate plays an auxiliary role in fire extinguishing, and the other auxiliary materials have functions such as assisting grinding, preventing moisture and agglomeration, and increasing fluidity.
