PTFE Micropowder

PTFE micropowder could be added to elastomers enhance the surface and bulk properties of parts. Examples of surface properties include mold release, friction, wear, and lubricity. Tear strength, abrasion resistance, and flex lifeare examples of bulk properties improved by fluoroadditives addition. A number of high performance materials such assilicone rubbers, fluoroelastomers and fluorosilicones have poor mechanical properties at elevated temperatures whichcan be detrimental to their processing. For instance. some of these elastomers tear easily during removal from mold at 177-191°C. Addition of fluoroadditives can reduce damage from sticking or tearing by increasing the mold release of theparts.Certain grades of PTFE fluoroadditives can increase the tear strength of elastomers bothat the room temperature and at 177℃.

Fluoroadditives can be blended using thecustomary methods ofincorporation of additivesinto elastomers, using Banbury or two-rollmixers. High concentrations (up to 30-50% by weight of base elastomer) of PTFE micropowders can be formulated in the elastomers without compromising elastic behavior.

Not classified as hazardous for transportation, avoid the violent vibration, the high temperature insolation and ground bumps during transportation;

Packed in a sealed double layer polyethylene bag which is bound with special buckle, then put into a moisture-proof rigid paper bucket;

Should be stored in a clean, cool, dry warehouse to prevent from the moisture, dust and other impurities contamination, resin agglomeration, better to take refrigerated transportation in summer.
