Products Description

R134a(1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) is a colorless, non-flammable gas with the chemical formula CF3CH2F. It is widely used as a refrigerant in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

It has a low boiling point (-26.3°C) and is non-toxic, non-corrosive and has no ozone depletion potential. However, it has a high global warming potential (GWP) of 1,430, making it an environmentally harmful substance. Efforts are being made to replace it with more eco-friendly refrigerants such as hydrofluoroolefins and hydrocarbons.
