Question 1: What is refrigerant?
Refrigerant is also known as refrigerating working medium. It is the working substance which circulates continuously in the refrigeration system and realizes the refrigeration through its own state change. The refrigerant absorbs the heat of the cooling medium (water or air, etc.) in the evaporator and vaporizes, and the heat is transferred to the surrounding air or water in the condenser and condenses.
When it comes to air conditioning products, we usually say freon, so what is freon? Freon is the general name of halogen derivatives of saturated hydrocarbons. It is a kind of refrigerant which appeared with the development of chemical industry in the thirties of this century. Its appearance solves the refrigerant search in refrigeration and air conditioning field. Can see from the definition of freon Leon, the R134A, R410A and R407c that people says now are freon Leon actually.
Question two: what types of refrigerant are there and what is the difference between them?
Our fluorine refrigerant for refrigeration industry are R11, R12, R22, R32, R113, R114, R115, R123, R125, R134A, R143A, R141b, R142b, R152, R404A, R407c, R410A, R500, R502 and so on.
Freon can destroy the ozone layer because of the presence of Element Cl in the refrigerant, and with the increase of the number of Cl atoms, the ozone layer destruction ability increases, and with the increase of the content of element H, the ozone layer destruction ability decreases. The greenhouse effect is mainly caused by the large amount of greenhouse gases, such as CO2, generated in the process of slow oxidation and decomposition of refrigerant.
