Perfluoropolyethers and cyclic tripolyphosphazene are promising as future aviation engine oils

The molecular structure of Perfluoropolyethers (Perfluoropolyethers, abbreviated as PFPE) lubricants is basically similar to that of hydrocarbon lubricants, but in PFPE molecules, fluorine atoms replace hydrogen atoms, thereby replacing the c—H bonds in hydrocarbons with stronger c—F bonds. And the presence of c—o and c—c strong covalent bonds, as well as the neutral characteristics of PFPE molecules, make PFPE have high thermal stability and oxidation stability, as well as good chemical inertness and insulating properties. PFPE with larger molecular weight also has low volatility, wider liquid temperature range and excellent viscosity-temperature characteristics. Chemical industry: PEPF perfluoropolyether oil is used as a working fluid in various vacuum pumps (rotary pumps, turbomolecular pumps and vapor diffusion pumps); there are corrosive gases (such as: liquid oxygen and gas oxygen, halogen, sulfur) in the operating environment Crisp, etc.) exists, PEPF perfluoropolyether oil is used as lubricating oil for compressors and valves
