Although Oxy Propane welding is much safer than oxygen-acetylene, propane is a flammable gas after all. If you do not pay attention to the operating precautions during use, fire and other accidents are likely to occur.

1) Propane gas has a relatively large specific gravity, so the gas cylinder must be placed in a well-ventilated place. Do not place it in a basement, semi-basement or poorly ventilated place to prevent gas leakage and fire caused by low-lying areas.

2) When the propane cylinder is about to run out, some gas should be left in the bottle to facilitate checking the gas sample before refilling and to prevent other gases from entering the bottle.

3) When a gas cylinder catches fire, the cylinder valve should be closed immediately. If you cannot get close, you can spray a large amount of cold water to cool the cylinder, then close the cylinder valve, cut off the gas source to extinguish the fire, and prevent the burning cylinder from tipping over. If the cylinder valve cannot be stopped from leaking, the cylinder should be moved to a safe area outdoors to allow the gas to escape until the gas in the cylinder is exhausted.
