1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane-The Third Generation Foaming Agent

1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane (HFC-245fa) is widely used as a foaming agent, refrigerant, cleaning agent, heat transfer medium, aerosol propellant, etc.

 

HFC-245fa has an ODP value of 0, a low GWP value, is non-flammable and non-toxic, and has similar properties to monofluorodichloroethane (HCHC-141b) and monofluorotrichloromethane (CFC-11). ABS board has no corrosive effect and can be used without changing the foaming production equipment. As a good substitute for HCHC-141b and CFC-11, it is widely used in the foaming agent industry.

Steps: (1) under the action of a fluorination catalyst, carrying out liquid phase fluorination reaction on 1,1,1,2,3, 3-hexachloropropane and anhydrous hydrogen fluoride to obtain crude 2-chloro-1, 1,1,3, 3-pentafluoropropane reaction liquid;

Steps:(2) the hydrogen fluoride in the reaction liquid of the crude 2-chloro-1, 1,1,3, 3-pentafluoropropane is separated by gas-liquid separation for recycling, and the liquid phase is separated to obtain the 2-chloro-1, 1,1,3, 3-pentafluoropropane and the unreacted 1,1,1,2,3, 3-hexachloropropane;

Steps:(3) under the action of a dehydrochlorination catalyst, carrying out gas phase HCl removal on 2-chloro-1, 1,1,3, 3-pentafluoropropane to obtain crude 1,1,3,3, 3-pentafluoropropene pyrolysis gas;

Steps:(4) the crude 1,1,3,3, 3-pentafluoropropene pyrolysis gas is condensed and separated from unreacted 2-chloro-1, 1,1,3, 3-pentafluoropropane through a first cooler, and the uncondensed gas phase is washed by water and dried by a molecular sieve, and then condensed in a second cooler to obtain the 1,1,3,3, 3-pentafluoropropene.
