During 2025-2030, the supply scale of R22 for ODS will show a rapid downward trend.
On the other hand, with the advancement of the reduction process, the supply of HCFCs refrigerants for ODS in our country has been shrinking year by year, and in recent years, the crackdown on illegal production and sales has been strengthened. The after-sales market demand is stable, but the supply is tightened, which will inevitably lead to the prominent contradiction between supply and demand. it is about to enter the next phase of reducing HCFCs refrigerants. It needs to achieve 67.5% of the baseline reduction level in 2025, and supply will be significantly reduced next year.
The current ODS use of Refrigerant R22 is mainly used in the household air conditioner after-sales market. According to the seventh national census, statistical results show that there are approximately 494.16 million households in the country. At the same time, according to 2022 data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the number of air conditioners per 100 households in China is 133.9, and the number of air conditioners in my country is approximately 662 million.
With the continuous upgrading of a series of indicators such as environmental protection and energy efficiency, R 22 refrigerant gas is rarely used in the pre-sales market. However, the original R22 model has a large number of existing models, after-sales demand remains stable, and the R22 market is booming in both production and sales.
In recent years, the production quotas of R22 companies have been exhausted. As HCFCs refrigerants are in tight supply, the industry will still implement reduction plans in accordance with the Montreal Protocol in the next few years, and the supply will be further reduced.
