What is HFE Hydrofluoroether?
HFE (Hydrofluoroether) is a class of organic compounds composed of hydrogen, fluorine, carbon and oxygen, combining ether bonds (R-O-R') and fluoroalkyl structures. It is designed to retain the excellent performance of fluorinated solvents while reducing environmental impacts (such as ozone layer depletion and global warming potential). HFE is widely used as a precision cleaning agent, coolant, solvent carrier, etc., especially in the electronics, semiconductor and aerospace fields.
Main characteristics of HFE Hydrofluoroether
1.Chemical stability
Heat-resistant, hydrolysis-resistant, not easy to react with acids, alkalis or oxidants, suitable for precision instrument cleaning.
Low surface tension, can quickly penetrate tiny gaps.
2.Environmental friendliness
ODP (ozone depletion potential) ≈ 0, does not contain chlorine or bromine, does not damage the ozone layer.
GWP (global warming potential) is low, and the GWP of some HFEs is significantly lower than that of traditional PFCs (perfluorinated compounds).
3.Physical properties
Wide boiling point range (30°C~160°C), different models can be selected according to needs.
Non-flammable or difficult to burn, high safety (no flash point or high flash point).
Excellent insulation performance, suitable for electronic equipment cleaning.
4.Low toxicity
Low skin irritation, low volatile organic compound (VOC) content, but still needs to be used in a ventilated environment.
